    There was only one entity in town villainous enough to kidnap Vortmann to torture him for his knowledge: the Mikromemex Corporation.

    Mikromemex had been just behind the cutting edge for decades. They started mass-producing punch cards as soon as floppy disks were introduced. They started making floppies as soon as burnable compact discs were commonplace. And, inexplicably, they are still producing SyQuest compatible media.

    This time, they must want to get a jump on the competition. I had to sneak into their research facility and find Vortmann, before it was too late.
