I turned down the 3rd hallway on the right, heading for H.R., which would surely end in disaster. But from behind me, I heard the muffled sounds of a human voice: "Mmmf! Mrrm! Rmf!"
I doubled back across the main corridor and put my ear up to the mumbling door--a supply closet. Could it be that Professor Vortmann was bound and gagged on the other side?
I opened the door. Someone was bound and gagged, but it surely wasn't the professor.
